HALLOWEEN IN MIAMI
October 31, one of my favorite days of the year! It's a great time to have fun and enjoy the night. I love dressing up and taking the time to plan a costume but this year I didn't have the time to go all out. I wasn't gonna let that stop me from dressing up. Down here in Miami we definitely don't let it go to waste.
In Miami Beach, Lincoln road to be more exact, the night comes to life. People from all over Miami go to Lincoln in costume and walk around and stop at the bars or the stores. Djs and live music is being played and food stands and restaurants open their doors.
This year there were so many awesome costumes that I wasn't able to take a picture of all of them! People dressed up from skulls to Transformers and some guy even dressed up as a toilet seat...
One I totally regret not taking a picture of is a couple of guys dressed as Frank N. Furter and Riff Raff from The Rocky Horror Picture show. Anyone that knows me knows that's my favorite film ever and I was fangirling so bad!!
Parking was a bit of a hazzle at first just because Lincoln gets so packed it was practically bumper to bumper traffic. We ended up parking at the first parking garage we found.
If you don't know Lincoln, its pretty much a closed off street with bars/restaurants and stores on either side, restaurant chairs and places to sit are in the middle. So getting from one side to the other can get pretty hard. There were so many people that at one point we'd stop walking and have to wait for the line to move. Totally felt like I was in line at Disney world.
We stopped at Steak and Shake and just enjoyed the rest of our night looking at costumes and enjoying the random cold front last night.
It was a great night to spend with great people.
